Offshore Fishing Report: Kingfish have still been thick to the North in the Juno and Jupiter area. Most of the fish have been holding in 80-120ft of water and can be caught in a variety of different ways. Live baiting is going to be your best option, but we’ve gotten reports of fishing being caught on dead sardines and diamond jigs as well. The Snapper/Cobia bite has still been going strong in the same area. Drifting with dead sardines is your best bet.
Good numbers of Sailfish have still been sitting off of Palm Beach. Kite fishing is still the best option. Try heading South of Palm Beach Inlet to the dodge wall and set up between 100-200ft. and drift North.
The winds will be 5-10knots out the East/South East this weekend with seas 2-3ft. Should be a great weekend to get offshore!
Inshore Fishing Report: To the North, the Pompano bite has been good from Blowing Rocks to Hobe Sound. The water has been clear along the beach, so a fluorocarbon pompano rig will help improve your chances. Sandfleas have worked best, but fresh shrimp or Fish Bites have also worked well. A bunch of fish are being caught on “goofy” style jigs as well. Plenty of blacktip and spinner sharks are continuing to push down the beach in our area. Fishing freshly dead bait along the bottom will get the most action, but some fish can be caught on topwater plugs in the late evening hours.
