Offshore Fishing Report:  After last weekends nasty weather, the Kingfish bite has really picked this week. The best action has been between the Juno Pier and the Loran Tower in Jupiter. Fish over 50lbs. have been reported. You can easily target the kings with live or dead bait. Most fish have been between 90-130 ft. with some being caught out to 200ft on diamond jigs down deep. For live baiting, a goggle eye or blue runner fished out of a kite or outrigger will be your best bet. For those using dead bait, a double or triple hook with a sardine works best. Try a pearl or chartreuse C&H King buster over top of the sardine for added effect.

Those fishing along the ledge in Juno have also reported Cobia in the area. Most of the time they’ll eat just about anything so make sure you have a spinning rod with a jig readily available on the boat. The reported fish have been in the same area as the kings (90-130ft).

There has been a scattered Dolphin bite South of the Palm Beach Inlet. We’ve had reports of fish from the Lake Worth Pier to the Breakers in 300-700ft. Most fish are on the smaller side with some 10-15lb. fish mixed in. Try trolling mono rigged ballyhoo or squid for best results.

Inshore/FreshwaterFishing Report:  Snook Season opens on Friday at 12a.m. All the cold weather we’ve been having might have the fish acting a little lazier than normal. Try using heavier jigs in deeper water around local bridges. Gulfstream Flair Hawk jigs and First Lite jigs are two great options. A moving tide is preferable. Cast up current and slowly retrieve the jig while bouncing it along bottom.

We’ve had a lot of bass reports with all the inclement weather we’ve been having. The C-18 canal is always a great option. Fishing live shiners around structure usually does the trick. Look for bridges to fish around or culvert pipes. Also along with bass, there’s always the possibility of catching a freshwater snook or tarpon in C-18. There’s a few spillways that drain into the canal and those fish can usually be found close by. The new Pine Glades natural area off of Indiantown Road in Jupiter is another great spot.
