Offshore Fishing Report:  Sailfish will remain the main target for most Palm Beach offshore anglers this week. We’re getting another very strong cold front pushing through this weekend that will put the morning temps in the 40’s . If you can get offshore before the front, Friday and Saturday will be the days to do so. The forecast is for 2-3 ft. seas with 5-10 knot winds from the Northeast.

The snapper bite has also been good offshore the last few days. We’ve had reports of Muttons and Yellowtails in 80-100ft. from the Dodge Wall to Lost Tree. For the Mutton Snapper, fish the bottom using a whole dead sardine on a double or triple hook rig. For the Yellowtails, scale down your tackle and use a 1/2 oz. to 1 oz. Snapper Jig tipped with squid or silversides.

We’ve also had more than a few reports of wahoo this last week. That bite should only get better with the upcoming full moon on the 21st. The tide will be perfect around Palm Beach Inlet as well. There will be an outgoing tide just as the sun rises Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. High speed trolling natural bait or artificials along the ledge in 100-300ft from the Dodge Wall to the Juno Pier should produce a bite.

Inshore Fishing Report:  We’ve had multiple reports of inshore Pompano this week in Jupiter and Palm Beach. Good amounts of fish have pushed back into the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter. Look for fish skipping along shallow sandy bottom. The same thing can be said for Palm Beach in the Lake Worth Lagoon. Look around sand bars behind Munyon Island and sandy holes in the grass flats. Most fish have been caught on jigs like a Goofy jig or Gulf Stream High Jinx.

We’ve also had customers reporting Sea Trout behind Munyon Island as well. Fishing live shrimp while wading the grass flats has been the way to go. Fish a live shrimp under a popping cork for best results. Also the Spanish Mackerel have still been thick in the Peck’s Lake area.
