Offshore:  Bottom fishing has picked up again even with the strong North current.  Nice Mutton Snapper up to 10-12 lbs. have been caught the last few days along the Juno Beach ledge in 80-100ft.  Along the inshore reefs in 50-70ft., Yellowtail Snapper have been plentiful as well.  Dead sardines have worked best for the Muttons and silversides or squid on a jig has been the best bet for the Yellowtails.   Trolling for Blackfin Tuna has also been productive in the Juno/Jupiter area from 150-400ft. of water.  Daisy chains or small dart lures have been working best.  The dolphin bite has slowed once again but should pick up after last weekends’ passing storm into the gulf.  The reports we’ve heard are scattered fish off of Palm Beach in 200-600ft.

The ChaseN’ Tailz KDW Tournament takes place this weekend out of Harbourside Place in Jupiter, with their captains meeting Thursday night at Harbourside as well.

Inshore:  There are still plenty of Snook in Jupiter and Palm Beach inlets.  Live mullet has still been the bait of choice, with a lot of our customers getting their slot Snook once season opened this past weekend.  The spillway bite for snook has been good as well the past few days with all of the Labor Day weekend rain we got.  Live mullet and shad have been the best baits for the spillway along with larger lipped plugs like an X-Rap or Bomber.  For those of you looking for something other than Snook, there have been a number of large Jacks cruising the intracoastal early in the morning chasing the mullet that are starting to trickle down our way.  Topwater plugs like a Top Dog or Zara Spook are sure to get a bite.

Seas should be around 2-3 ft. this weekend with Southeast winds at 5-10kts.
